Xu Bonian, male, Han nationality, is a native of Suzhou City, Jiangsu Province. He was born in 1939, graduated from the People?s University of China in 1960, and joined the Chinese Democratic League in 1991.
Xu Bonian spent the early part of his career as an educator in the economics department of Inner Mongolia University. In 1991 he joined the Chinese Democratic League and in 1995 was made a member of the standing committee of the 7th Chinese Democratic League Central Committee. In 1997 he was named chairman of the 4th Chinese Democratic League Inner Mongolia Autonomous Regional Committee. Xu was also a member of the standing committees of both the 8th and 9th CPPCC National Committees. His works include Discussion on Planned Economy and Market Economy.
Xu is vice-chairman of the CPPCC Inner Mongolia Autonomous Regional Committee and chairman of the Chinese Democratic League Inner Mongolia Autonomous Regional Committee.
